Julius may be full of personality, confidence, and just the right amount of sass, but even the boldest birds have their moments of insecurity. And for Julius, that moment is his bald spot.

Now, we’re not here to judge feather plucking happens. Moving is stressful, and for birds, even small changes can feel like a very big deal. Between the shifting routine, new surroundings, and the general chaos of boxes and furniture disappearing, Julius coped the best way he knew how… by plucking a little too much. And now? Well, let’s just say his once-fluffy chest is looking a little patchy. He tries to play it cool, of course. But every now and then, we catch him glancing at his reflection, tilting his head like, Did I really do that? The confidence dips just a little until he remembers who he is.

Luckily, the good news is his feathers are on the way back! Slowly but surely, little pin feathers are popping up, giving him back some of that regal umbrella cockatoo look. In the meantime, though, he’s got one tiny problem: the sweater. That’s right. Julius, a bird who thrives on dignity, has been forced to wear a sweater. To say he’s not thrilled would be an understatement. He tolerates it, but only barely. The moment it goes on, he gets extra dramatic, sitting there like we’ve ruined his entire life. But, sweater or no sweater, there’s one thing keeping his spirits high he loves the new place. After the initial stress of moving wore off, Julius realized this new home might actually be an upgrade. Better windows for bird-watching, more space to explore, new routines to settle into it’s different, but in the best way possible. He’s even started showing off his usual antics again, which means one thing: Julius is getting back to his usual self.

The feathers will come. The sweater will (hopefully) go. And Julius? He’ll be just fine bald spot or not, he still runs the show.
