Abbi takes her job as the unofficial neighborhood watch very seriously. Whether it’s keeping tabs on the squirrels, monitoring passing cars, or subtly judging the neighbor’s cat from afar, she makes sure nothing goes unnoticed.

Her favorite spot? Right by the window, where she can perch like a little furry detective, silently observing the world outside. She watches the usual cast of characters kids riding bikes, joggers passing by, that one dog who always takes the same route (and always stops at the same spot). She’s got it all figured out. But lately, something’s been on her mind. As she sits there, eyes scanning the street, she can’t help but wonder… what about the new place?

Will there be a good vantage point? A window positioned just right so she can still keep an eye on things. What if the view isn’t the same? What if the squirrels are different? What if **gasp** she can’t see the neighbor’s cat at all?! The thought alone makes her pause, ears twitching with concern. She lets out a deep sigh, resting her chin on the windowsill, lost in the weight of her thoughts. Change is hard. She likes knowing what’s going on, keeping a routine, watching over her domain. And while she trusts Dad to handle the important things (like food and belly rubs), she really hopes he’s considered the importance of a solid surveillance spot at the new house.

For now, though, all she can do is wait. She watches a bird land on the fence, tail flicking as she tracks its every move. No matter where they end up, one thing’s for sure Abbi will find a way to keep watch. Because once a neighborhood watchdog, always a neighborhood watchdog.
