Abbi is always down for an adventure. The moment she hears the jingling of keys or sees Dad put on his shoes, she knows something’s up. And if there’s one thing Abbi hates, it’s being left behind.
So today? She was going with Dad. No questions asked. The second the truck door opened; she hopped in like she owned the place. Passenger seat? Taken. Windows? Must be down. Destination? Unknown, but exciting. First stop? The store. Not her favorite lots of waiting in the truck while Dad ran inside. But she didn’t mind too much, because she knew what usually comes after errands… snacks.
Sure enough, the next stop was the drive thru. As soon as they rolled up, Abbi’s ears perked, her tail started wagging, and she sat so perfectly still as if being extra polite would make the food come faster. And it worked. A little bag of nuggets (one for Dad, the rest for her, obviously) made its way into the truck, and in that moment, Abbi was living her best life. With her belly full and the road stretching ahead, Abbi settled in for one of her favorite activities car ride naps. There’s just something about cruising around, feeling the wind in her fur, and listening to Dad’s music that makes for the perfect snooze session. She curled up, let out a happy sigh, and drifted off, knowing full well that if another stop happened, she’d be up and ready to go.
By the time they got home, Abbi was tuckered out. She stretched, hopped out of the truck, and made a beeline for her bed. It had been a big day full of smells, snacks, and adventure. But as far as she was concerned? 10/10, would ride again.
