I had the shock of my life today when my Mama and Dad sat me down and had a talk with me. They told me that with the new year and the fact that I'm now a year old that I will need to start acting my age and that means among many things that I won't be able to bark at my shadow anymore, even when it sneaks up on me! I tried to convince them that they don't realize how scary my shadow is especially when it sneaks up on me and that my barking is the only thing that keeps it from getting me, but they weren't hearing it. I was shocked they couldn't see reason...

Then and then came the worse news of all apparently, I'm not allowed to eat Dad's socks anymore and if they catch me, they say there will be dire consequences. Now being the curious little girl that I am I asked then what those consequences would be, and they told me that if I'm caught doing my favorite past time that I will not be allowed to have treats for a whole month! I feel like that is uncalled for and totally unreasonable, but I guess I'll listen to the rules... for now.

But I have an ace up my sleeve and it's my saving grace. I happen to be Daddy's little girl and with the look that I've been able to perfect over the last few months I can get away with anything so when Mama's not around I'll be able to enjoy my favorite past time and enjoy my favorite treats.
